I was actually looking for a mud mask when I accidentally bounced over Daiso Charcoal Mask, a product from Japan, formulated with natural ingredients from oak trees. I instantly got interested to this product because it contains charcoal.

Based on the packaging, it contains the following ingredients: Water, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Ethanol (alcohol), Charcoal, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Crystalline Cellulose, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil Methylparaben, Cortex Mori Extract, Xanthan Gum, Butylparaben, EDTA – 2Na

The products claims to remove oils and dirt and it deeply cleanses the pores leaving you a clearer skin with less visible pores.

I actually bought Daiso Charcoal Mask together with Daiso Charcoal Cleansing Cream & Daiso Cleansing Foam online. I am hesitant to buy this at first because I know that I have a sensitive skin and I seldom try products applied to face. But curiosity strikes me again because it is cheap. I bought the 3 products at P85.00 each.

I used Daiso Charcoal Cleansing Cream to remove make-up as instructed and it effectively does what it promise. I also used Daiso Cleansing Foam as my facial wash for a while and I became a fan of this product. Sad to say, it is difficult to find a genuine supplier selling authentic Daiso products here in the Philippines as of this posting.

With regards to Daiso Charcoal Mask, I loved it. It has cute packaging. The consistency of the product is very sticky but it is easy to apply. It really works well on my skin in removing stubborn white heads, black heads, thin facial hairs, and dead skin.

How to Apply Daiso Charcoal Mask?
1: Steam your face for about 5 to 10 minutes using a warm water to open your pores.
2: Dry your face with face towel in a tapping motion.
3: Apply Daiso Charcoal Mask evenly on the entire area of your face (except your eyebrows & lips) and neck. Put on a thin layer first
4: After 2 minutes, apply the second layer to cover your face and neck.
5: Let it dry for 10 to 15 minutes. (avoid facial movements to let the product stick properly on your skin.)
6: Wait until it is completely dried up. (you will know this when it is no longer sticky and skin feels tight.)
7: Peel it off starting at the bottom, pulling upward.

This photo might be gross at some point but I want to share how Daiso Charcoal Mask works on my face.

Isn’t it amazing? I actually recommended this product to my mom and brother and they also loved it. The only thing that I don’t like on this product is the slight pain experienced during removal of the mask. But trust me, it is tolerable and worth it. You will be instantly refreshed and revitalized when you used this product. I use this once a month, but you can use it weekly depending on your needs.
