How to Send Money using Western Union
Western Union is my favorite international money remittance center available in the Philippines. I have been using their service for several years already and I still have no complains against them. It is very easy to send money using Western Union, just follow easy instructions below.

Here are the steps:
1: Go to the nearest Western Union Branch at your place.
2: Get an Western Union Money Remittance Form and fill-up the form with your details and your receiver’s details.
3: Submit the Form to the Cashier.
4: Sometimes, they will ask if you would like to enroll in their Western Union membership program to earn points for every transaction. It is free so it is up to you if you want.
5: Then you will be ask to pay the amount to be remitted plus the remittance charge.
6: After the transaction, please do not forget to ask what is your Western Union Remittance MTCN number. It is actually printed at your receipt but there are times that it is not clearly readable because there are some Western Union branches issues only the copy of the receipt to the customer.
8: Send the 10-digit remittance MTCN number to your receiver for him/her to claim the remittance.

Reminders:
1: Please bring at least 1 Valid ID to be able to transact at Western Union.
2: Remittance charges depends on the amount of money you will remit. Please see remittance rates or charges table below:

Know your Western Union Remittance Verification Details
For Western Union to release your money to your receiver, you should send to your receiver the required Payment Verification Details.

Required Western Union Remittance Verification Details:
Your Full Name + MTCN Number + Your Location

Western Union Transaction Limits and Valid ID’s:
Note: Information taken from Western Union SM City Lucena Branch
1: Postal ID – maximum of PHP 20,000 (Sending or Receiving)
2: TIN & Philhealth ID (for Domestic transaction only) – Maximum of PHP 3,000 per month (Sending or Receiving)
3: Student ID (with Validation Only) – Accepted for 18 years old and below, above 18 years old must present other ID.
4: Driver’s License with Official Receipt – not specified
5: Passport – not specified
6: PRC – not specified
7: SSS / GSIS – not specified
8: Senior Citizen ID – not specified
9: Voter’s ID – not specified
10: Police Clearance (Electronic) – not specified
11: NBI Clearance – not specified

NOTE: Western Union Remittances from PHP 50,000 and above is subject for Approval and should present 2 Valid ID’s.
