If you are looking for a facial and bath soap that can whiten, lessen body odor, clear out pimples, black spots and stains on skin. Then you must also try Mestiza Soap which is said to be a Healthy Skin Soap. How true is that claim? Find out at my review below.

As the label says, Mestiza Soap’s active ingredients are as follows:
1: Papaya Extract for skin softening and moisturizing treatment
2: Banana Extract which smoothens out various skin problems
3: Carrot Extract that contains Vitamin A which helps reduce wrinkles and fine lines
4: Virgin Coconut Oil for skin moisturization
5: High Grade Coconut Oil for antibacterial properties
6: Calamansi / Lemon Extract for skin toning properties

So why I have decided to try it?
I came across this product while I am looking around or should I say window shopping at a nearby drug store. I read the label and it instantly got my attention. It is very tempting to try so I decided to browse the net and check some reviews online and found out that many beauty bloggers have already tried it and happy with the results. So, tadah! Here I am now sharing my thoughts and review about this product. Please note that this review was made after I have already used 3 bars of Mestiza soap for more than a month. I have tried the 2 bars of Mestiza Original Soap and 1 bar of Mestiza Bountiful Violet Prime Soap. I think both soap has the same effect. The only difference is the scent. So here it is.

What “I LIKE” about Mestiza Soap?
1: It is readily available at local stores here in the Philippines like Watson’s and Mercury Drug.
2: The smell of the soap is pleasing to my olfactory system. It smells like a sweet lemon twist.
3: It is a 120g soap which cost around P53.00 good for about 2 weeks if you will use it 2x a day. I think it is cheaper than other beauty soaps that I have tried. Plus, I am so lucky that I bought my first 2 bars for only P89.00. It is sale that time.
4: The soap does not easily melt.
5: I did not develop any obvious and severe allergic reaction to it.
6: It does lessen the appearance of my scar at my arm after 1 week of use.
7: It also keeps me feeling fresh because of its distinct smell on the skin that last the whole day.
8: The product is a 100% Philippine Made Product.

What “I DON’T LIKE” about Mestiza Soap?
1: I always feel a slight tingling sensation on my skin while taking a bath with this soap. Some redness appeared on the first few days.
2: I am afraid to try using it on my face. So I can’t give a comment on Mestiza Soap as a Facial Soap.
3: It does not moisturize my skin that well. But a little help of lotion will solve the problem.
4: You should flush all the soapsuds on the floor or bathtub after taking a bath because it stains.

Would I recommend Mestiza Soap?
Yes, I will recommend using it on your body as a bath soap. I think this soap is a great discovery and I wish they will improve its moisturizing property. But ironically, my favorite bath soap is still Green Cross Papaya & Honey Soap which is actually a skin germs protection soap. LOL.
